NumisManager™ Deluxe Version 1.50 Tour

(Available for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows Platforms)

(Screen Shots are of Mac OS X Version--Click on Thumbnails to View Larger Image)

NumisManager Deluxe v1.50 Menu Screen

  • Startup Menu: NumisManager™ Deluxe is the first truly user friendly interface for both the Mac and Windows platforms. At start-up, you are taken to the Menu Screen (see screen shot above). From the Menu Screen you can navigate to Entry Mode, View/Edit Mode, Report/Print Mode, Compare Mode, User Preferences, About NumisManager™ or Quit the program. Also, as you can see, the programs color scheme and images create an easy-on-the-eyes user environment. No more tired eyes from staring at the same bland greyish screens.

  • UltraEntry™ Mode: From the Entry Mode Screen (click on the thumbnail screen shot above to view larger images of UltraEntry™ Mode screen shots), users can choose to build their coin from the UltraEntry™ step-through, data-driven system that presently retrieves data from a coin database containing approximately 9,000 coins (including US business and proof strikes, commemoratives, Canadian and Modern Mexican coins). Just click the Add U.S., Add Canadian or Mexico button to begin. (Coming Soon! Selected World Coins, including Euros.)

  • Manual Entry Mode: Want to enter World Coins, Ancients or Paper Money? Although UltraEntry™ Mode has not been expanded to enter these coin types yet, you can easily enter your coins manually and with the same level of detail as in UltraEntry™ Mode. Click the base buttons (Purchase Info, Notes, Obverse Photo, Reverse Photo and Errors and Varieties Buttons) to access manual entry screens for entering information and adding digital photo images of your entry.
  • Multi-Entry Mode: Both UltraEntry™ Mode and Manual Entry Mode feature Multi-Entry functionality. You can now easily enter multiples of the same or similar coins with one entry and then edit each individual entry prior to finalizing (or through the Edit system accessed through View/Edit Mode tab.

By way of example, U.S. Coins entered via UltraEntry™ Mode begin with the user selecting the traditional metal type and strike associated with the coin and then is stepped through the related data entry. Additionally, the user clicks the base buttons (Purchase Info, Notes, Obverse Photo, Reverse Photo and Errors and Varieties Buttons) to access entry screens for entering information and adding digital photo images for the collectible. Price Paid and Target Sales Price can also be entered. Obverse-Reverse die alignment can also be notated graphically by either clicking on the coin image or clicking the stepper buttons located below the alignment image.

Address Book: In both Purchase Info entry and Sales Info entry, the user can either manually enter this information or use the built-in address book pull down menu to rapidly retrieve this information (Click on the thumbnail screen shot above to view larger images of Address Book entry images). Users can add or delete purchaser and seller contact information from the Address Book by clicking the "Add To Address Book" or "Delete From Address Book" buttons respectively while the specific address information is listed in the fields.

View/Edit Mode: The main screen for View/Edit Mode displays a scrollable listing of the user's entire collection. The collection is sortable by Inventory Number (which is automatically assigned to each collectible as it is entered), Date, Grade or Target Price by single clicking the column heading. Notice that the View/Edit Mode "Inventory Number" column heading is presently highlighted in gold and the blue tabs designated "FWD SORT" (i.e., Forward Sort); this means that the listing is presently sorted by Inventory Number from lowest to highest numbers. (Note: Clicking either of the FWD SORT tabs reverses the sorted order and the tab designation to "REV SORT" (i.e., Reverse Sort) with a red tab color.)

Each listing provides summary information about the collectible, including a description, date, grade, target price (if entered), a Cost button to display the items original cost (if entered), obverse and reverse images of the item (if entered by the user with a digital camera), and a sales price entry field plus an item check out button. Each item is also designated as either Own (i.e., already in your collection), Want (i.e., an item you would like to acquire--great for generating want lists), Sold (i.e., an item you have sold and is no longer in your collection), and Sold Inv'd (i.e., an item you have sold and generated an invoice for).

    Clicking the blue
View button for a specific collectible takes the user to the Detailed View Mode for that item (See "Detailed View Mode" section below for more information).

    Clicking the green
Edit button for a specific collectible takes the user to the UltraEntry™ Edit Mode for that item (See "UltraEntry™ Edit Mode" below for more information).

    Clicking the red
Delete button for a specific collectible deletes the item from the collection and should be used with extreme caution since the item will be permanently deleted.

UltraFind™: NumisManager™ Deluxe users can view a single listing item or a subset of items by tailoring their search with UltraFind™. Tailor the display of your collectibles to a subset representing a particular country, date, grade, inventory number(s), price range, etc., through pull down menus providing information from the user's collection and text entry fields. Just click the Find button after entering your search parameters and your listing will now display the items matching your search. The Found Records display in the lower right corner of the screen will now display the number of matching records.

Check-Out/Consignment Mode: Collectibles can be designated as checked out or consigned by just clicking the Check Out box for the item. A Check-Out/Consignment screen appears where the user can enter information regarding who checked out or consigned the item and for what purpose. For example, the user may use this feature to accept an item on consignment, in which case the consignor's information would be entered; or the user might want to consign an item to a third party dealer or auction house, in which case the dealer's information would be entered; or the user might want to track this item while it has been sent to an independent grading service, in which case the grading services information would be entered. This feature is great for tracking and insurance purposes. And, with the help of the UltraFind™ system, the user can view or print reports of a list of items that have been checked out or taken on consignment for a specific individual or company (or view all checked out/consigned items). Also, items that have been sold through consignment can be delisted as check out and then, if applicable, flagged as Sold from the same screen, just click the Check Out box again to delist the item by clicking the Return button or entering the seller information and clicking the Sell button.

Sales and Invoice Generator: Whether you are an individual collector or a dealer in collectibles, keeping track of the sales of your collectibles and generating a receipt invoice can come in quite handy. The process is as simple as one-two-three. Enter the sales price directly from View/Edit mode for the specific item, click the sell button below the entry field, and enter the information for the purchaser of the item and finalize. The item has now been flagged as sold. Once you've entered all of the items sold to a specific purchaser (Note: Sold items represent a single purchaser and must be invoiced before you will be allowed to enter a new purchaser--in this way, NumisManager™ Deluxe makes sure your accounting practices are followed), click the Generate Invoice button at the bottom of the View/Edit Mode screen to print and/or archive the invoice for that sale (See Invoice Example below).

UltraEntry™ Edit Mode: From the UltraEntry™ Edit Mode Screen (Click thumbnail screen shot above to view a larger image), users can edit existing collectibles originally created with the UltraEntry™ step-through, data-driven system. (Note: If the collectible was added via the Manual Entry Mode, the user is taken to the Manual Entry Edit Mode system.)

Detailed View Mode: The Detailed View Mode provides descriptions (including mintage information, if available), images, obverse-reverse alignment, original seller and purchaser information, editable/enterable coin valuations (2002 coin valuations exist for most of the UltraEntry™ coins), and access to your Notes for the collectible. Clicking on the images (if images were entered by the user) links the user to the Coin Image View Mode (see below).

Coin Image View Mode: .This screen provides enlarged views of the obverse and reverse digital photos that you entered for a specific collectible. Additionally, there is a text field to directly enter your observations about the coin into the general notes field for the collectible. (Note: Each time you click the Enter button, the existing notes are added to your general notes field with a date-time stamp. The notes can also be edited via Edit Mode.) (Also, Compare Mode (accessed with the Compare tab) is similar to this feature allowing side-by-side viewing of images for two collectibles that are selected by locating the items through a variation of the UltraFind™ system.)

Report/Print Mode: Presently, there are four reports (Want List, Summary Report, Two-Line Summary Report (Actually Up to Three Lines for each item) and Detailed Report) and a Coin Flip Label maker. Just click the thumbnail for the desired report or coin flip label generator and you are stepped through the process. One or more sheets of selected Coin Flip Labels can be generated, individually edited and printed with different fonts, styles and colors (if printing with a color printer) for professional looking flips.

Invoice Archives: The invoices are archived by individuals or companies you have sold to and are listed in a drop-down menu (Click on thumbnail screen shot above to view larger image). Once either an individual or a company has been selected, the invoices generated are then listed. Click on a specific invoice in the listing and the first page of the invoice is displayed as a thumbnail. Click on the thumbnail to view a printable copy of the archived invoice (See Invoice Example below).

Invoice Sample: Invoices can be printed with a company name, logo and address information (all setup through the preferences tab), purchaser information, order numbers, shipping and taxes. (Click on thumbnail screen shot above to view larger image.)
